Aligning company values with social impact is very important to us. INTERSPORT Elverys are committed to supporting charities at both a local and national level, enabling them to continue their vital work providing respite and supports to individuals, families and communities across Ireland. Such partnerships help charities continue their vital role in society by providing much needed financial and resourcing support.

Our active engagement with charitable organisations has impacted the business positively through boosting employee morale and retention, building brand reputation and strengthening community ties.

Suicide Or Survive Abseil Challenge

Members of our INTERSPORT Elverys team have taken part in the Suicide or Survive Abseil Challenge at Croke Park over several years, abseiling 150 feet to support positive mental health. Suicide or Survive (SOS) is a charity providing mental health support and suicide prevention education through workshops, one-to-one support and community initiatives.
Thanks to our colleagues and supporters, over €21,500 has been raised for SOS programmes across Ireland, helping to raise awareness, reduce stigma and promote positive mental health.

4 Peaks Challenge in aid of BUMBLEance

In April 2025, a group of volunteers from across our business took on the Ireland 4 Peaks Challenge, summiting four of Ireland’s highest mountains in just 36 hours: Slieve Donard, Lugnaquilla, Carrauntoohil and Mweelrea.

Their determination, teamwork and spirit made it a truly memorable achievement, raising an incredible €25,694.20 for BUMBLEance.

From training sessions to conquering the peaks and the cheque presentation, these moments highlight the dedication and commitment of our people in supporting this cause and making a tangible difference for children and families who need it.

Supporting Wear Red Day

At INTERSPORT Elverys, we support Wear Red Day as part of our commitment to inclusion, diversity and respect both within the workplace and within the communities we serve.

Wear Red Day is a national anti-racism campaign led by the Immigrant Council of Ireland through its #ShowRacismTheRedCard initiative. It brings together schools, workplaces and communities across Ireland in a united stand against racism.

Continuing our support of the campaign, colleagues across our stores, support centre and warehouse teams wear red to show solidarity and reinforce a clear message. We welcome diversity, celebrate it, and stand firmly against racism in all its forms.

Supporting initiatives like Wear Red Day reflects the culture we continue to build, one that values fairness, opportunity and belonging for all.

Awards

We achieved the Irish Centre for Diversity Bronze award in 2023 and progressed to the Silver Award in 2024, being one of two Irish retailers (currently) with this award. We recently made it to the final three in the Diversity, Equality & Inclusion Awards – Retail.

With the support of the leadership team, INTERSPORT Elverys partnered with the Irish Centre for Diversity, a leading provider of Diversity and Inclusion training, in 2023. Having successfully achieved the ICD Bronze (2023) and Silver (2024) awards, we have performed ahead of the National Benchmark level with regards to inclusive leadership, recruitment, data recording, and monitoring to benefit our D&I.

For two years running INTERSPORT Elverys were announced winners of the prestigious INTERSPORT Global Leadership Award in Sustainability for our visionary efforts in driving sustainable change within the business. In 2023, our winning entry focused on sustainability initiatives within our HQ and Distribution Centre, and our efforts to redefine green distribution. The submission highlighted the transitioning to self-generated solar energy along with detailing additional recycling efforts. In 2024, we successfully retained this award with our reverse logistics recycling and distribution initiative through the introduction of a Reusable and Recyclable Pallet Box System, and the significant results achieved. These accolades underscore the company's role as a leader in sustainable business practices and aligns with our achievements in reducing our carbon footprint.

In 2024, at the INTERSPORT Leadership Summit in Cannes, we emerged victorious in the INTERSPORT Team Member category for Best Diversity and Inclusion Initiative. This accreditation recognised our commitment to building a culture of fairness, respect and belonging, providing a platform to share our Diversity & Inclusion journey and lived experience.
