Our Castlebar, Bridge Street store was honoured to host the Repak Members in the Community national campaign on Friday 27th March 2026. Alan Dillon, Minister of State for Employment, Small Businesses and Retail & Circular Economy, was joined by Zoe Kavanagh, CEO Repak to launch the campaign, celebrating the achievements of its members within their local communities, highlighting the meaningful progress they have made in reducing waste, supporting reuse, and developing more sustainable packaging solutions.
A central focus of the launch was the suite of initiatives across Intersport Elverys demonstrating our ongoing commitment and investment into making the business a more greener version of itself every day. Included in these are our packaging innovations such as our reusable and recyclable pallet box system, along with in-store and online packaging made from 100% recycled material. By redesigning how our goods move through the distribution network, we have successfully implemented reusable, recyclable packaging systems aligned with circular economy principles.
A proud member of Repak for over twenty years, Intersport Elverys is committed to playing a leading role in transforming the recycling landscape in Ireland, and driving behavioural change through our business operations.
