Players from all four codes star in new campaign celebrating Mayo pride, as INTERSPORT Elverys commits to the county for a further five years

INTERSPORT Elverys today unveiled the new Mayo GAA home jersey, launching a national campaign, Green and Red Forever, which brings together players from Mayo’s football, hurling, ladies football and camogie teams. The launch coincides with the announcement that INTERSPORT Elverys’ sponsorship of GAA in Mayo has been extended until 2030.

The campaign celebrates what the county jersey means to the people who wear it and to those who follow them home and away. Mayo players from all four codes appear side by side, reflecting the unity of Mayo GAA and the pride that runs through every club and parish in the county.

Speaking about the launch, Patrick Rowland, CEO of INTERSPORT Elverys, said:

“Elverys has its roots in Mayo, and there is no stronger symbol of what the county means to us than the green and red. Green and Red Forever celebrates the players in all four codes who wear it with such pride, and the supporters who follow them everywhere. We have been part of Mayo GAA for close to three decades, and extending our sponsorship to 2030 is a commitment to the people behind the jersey as well as the jersey itself, from our players and clubs to the fans in every parish. We’re proud to be Mayo’s title sponsor and to bring the jersey to supporters in our stores and online, and we look forward to many more years together.”

Ruairí Conroy, CEO of Mayo GAA, said:

“We are delighted to extend our partnership with Intersport Elverys through to 2030 and to unveil a new Mayo jersey that represents so much more than what happens on the pitch.

The green and red belongs to every club, every player and every supporter who carries Mayo with them, at home and around the world. It is particularly fitting to mark this next chapter alongside a Mayo business that has supported Gaelic games in the county for close to three decades.

Seeing players from football, hurling, ladies’ football and camogie represented together reflects the direction we want to travel as a county — proud of our identity, ambitious for every code and working together to build an even stronger future for Gaelic games in Mayo.

We greatly value the commitment Intersport Elverys continues to make to Mayo, both through its support of our games and through its longstanding contribution to communities and employment across the county.”

Helen O’Hara, Mayo LGFA PRO, said:

“There is nothing quite like watching a Mayo player pull on the green and red, or the supporters who travel near and far to cheer them on.

INTERSPORT Elverys have been woven into the fabric of our county teams for longer than most of our players have been alive. Their continued commitment to Mayo LGFA and the county panels means an enormous amount. Every Mayo jersey is special, but Green and Red Forever holds a particular significance for Mayo LGFA. It represents every code in our magnificent Gaelic games family, and the players, volunteers, families and supporters who make our Mayo sporting community something truly extraordinary.

We can’t wait to see it worn with pride in every corner of Mayo, all across the country and wherever in the world Mayo hearts are found.”

Peter Dooley, Mayo Camogie Chairperson said:

"Mayo Camogie are delighted that INTERSPORT Elverys have extended their sponsorship of Mayo GAA for a further five years. Our Camogie players are immensely proud to represent their county and look forward to wearing the new Mayo jersey alongside their counterparts in the GAA and LGFA.”

Made by O’Neills, the new home jersey stays true to Mayo’s iconic green and red with a sublimated design, a classic ribbed V-neck collar and a woven, embroidered county crest. It is made from Koolite performance fabric, which draws moisture away from the body, and carries the official product mark of authenticity.

The new Mayo GAA home jersey will be available from October 30th in all INTERSPORT Elverys stores nationwide and online at HERE

INTERSPORT Elverys will bring a programme of events and new product ranges to fans across the county and beyond. Details will be announced on social media.
