Training and Development

A key part of our success is the emphasis we place on training and development.  We offer a variety of in-house training programmes designed to develop and enhance your skillset.  We provide Induction and 1:1 support for new employees. Workshops, brand events and an online Product Knowledge training platform is provided to ensure our team members have the most up to date sports product knowledge.

We also run a hugely successful QQI Level 5 certified Trainee Manager programme each year which helps our star performers develop into Assistant or Store Managers.

Employee Profiles

ALAN BURKE, OPERATIONS MANAGER, NORTHWEST REGION

 

I started off as a Sports Advisor in Claremorris in 2007 and loved the role.  From there I progressed to Trainee Manager in Castlebar in 2009.  In 2010 I moved to Claremorris as Assistant Manager and this gave me the necessary experience to take on a new challenge as Store Manager Sligo in 2011.  Intersport Elverys allow for a great work life balance as I requested a transfer to Dublin in 2016 and moved to Dundrum as Deputy Manager in April 2016.  From there I was promoted to Store Manager in Blanchardstown and now I’m the Operations Manager for the Northwest Region.  As can be seen from my career Intersport Elverys provide great opportunities for those looking for a company that recognise and reward talent.
